'We are not a Festival' - August 2020

After having such a lengthy layoff due to the Covid-19 pandemic its been great to get out in the country and get back to doing what we do best, supporting live events.

'We are not a festival' located at the Pippingford Park Estate on the Ashdown Forest is a new summer campsite with extras and we were approached to supply all electrical infrastructure and site lighting as well as supporting the evening entertainment for the attending campers. With a maximum 500 people on site the organisers took full advantage of the space at Pippingford park allowing for a free flowing Covid safe environment for all attendees. If this is a glimpse into the future of live events then its encouraging to see.

For the entertainment we supplied our 6x4m truss stage complete with an extensive lighting rig and Martin Audio PA system. Part of the brief was to keep the ambient stage noise down to a minimum (This is a campsite at the end of the day!) so we deployed several smaller speakers around the seating area in front of the stage so that we could maintain a decent level in the stage arena whilst keeping the levels down in adjacent areas. The system performed really well and we had several positive comments from both organisers and punters on both the quality of the audio and how we kept it within the stage arena.

It was great to be back working on an event and we look forward to working with Luke & Shelley again on future projects.
