Our summer season begins in Bexhill with St George

We've been patiently awaiting our first event of the 2018 summer season and it finally arrived this last weekend as we supported Shining Lights in Bexhill with their 'St George's Day Multicultural Family Festival'.

The event was held on the eastern end of Bexhill seafront and Galley Hill with multiple family attractions, food vendors and entertainment throughout the afternoon, building to a climax in the evening with the lighting of the Bexhill Beacon and a Firework Display.

SEL supplied all technical production and infrastructure to the event. Our 6x4 truss stage with a sound and lighting package was deployed to the main performance area on the seafront, while 19 100v horns provided coverage down the seafront for announcements.

With the afternoon event up and running our attention then turned to the setup of the firework display area on Galley Hill. Sound provision in this area was covered using our Opus Systems, the CS system on crowd line and the MP system on delay duty about 60m down the field. In addition to the sound system we also supplied festoon and floodlighting of the public areas and all the crowd fencing and barriers.

A very long but satisfying day for our team on the ground as we look forward to the season ahead of us.
