SEL on the Install Market

Venue installations and maintainance are often not the first thought when SEL is mentioned, however we do get enquiries asking for technical installations, maintainance and PAT testing and we are always more than happy to assist.

With February being generally quieter with events and productions we've been working hard with a few clients to get winter maintainance and a couple of install jobs complete before the venues get busier towards the spring & summer.

Ratton School (Eastbourne):

Ratton had recently purchased some new powered speakers to replace their old PA system in their main hall. Having already bought the kit the staff from the Performing Arts Department contacted SEL asking for assistance with integrating the new PA with their current in-house equipment. We supplied and installed all of the required power & signal cabling to each of the cabinets and also fitted a bespoke stage control rack housing the speaker management controller and Patch bay for each of the cabinets for both front of house & foldback.

Seaford Head School:

SHS had booked us to check and reset their inhouse lighting & sound systems in their main hall on the Arundel Road Site. The hall has a standard setup that incorperates generic and LED units and is used for outside lettings as well as school events and productions. Getting SEL in ensures that the equipment is kept in top condition and allowes the rig to be in the right state for any event.

The Barn Theatre (Seaford):

Seaford Musical Theatre, who are based at and run the Barn Theatre contacted us for an installation quote for a new advance bar in the theatre. We provided a quote (that was accepted) and then completed the works, the majority of which had to be done late at night due to the high demands on the venue with bookings. The installation included a 4m Internally Wired Bar with 6 15A sockets for dimmers, 2 16A sockets for hot power & DMX line with the cabling all run back to their dimmer room.
